Hello, My name is LoyAnn Sherwood, I am the CEO & Founder of AppLuxe℠ App Marketplace. I had a wonderful career in the healthcare industry for 25 years, and I loved every minute of it, however, in 2019, working a 60 hours per week, I was heading home from work; I fell asleep at the wheel; I ran off the road, and hit a tree head-on and totaled my car, no damage to the tree. I spent the next 30 days in the hospital, and another 30 days in rehab; I busted up my body pretty good; I broke my left leg in 3 places which required pins in my leg; I fractured my wrist, and broke multiple bones through-out my body, including a bone in my neck, almost, immediately, I applied for disability because I was no longer able to walk right, nor could I effectively type on the keyboard with my right hand; I was approved for disability, and immediately, I went from $100,000 year down to $30,000 a year. It has been rough and tough living on $30,000 per year. I often run out of money with 5-10 days of my next disability check. Overall, I was almost killed in a car accident, but my husband took care of me, and I came back to life again. Today, I cannot get around without some sort of assistance, but I cannot complain; life has been OK. Our bills are paid, and for the most part, we often have enough food until the next check arrives.
In 2026, I happened to run across this domain that was for sale, AppLuxe.com (Luxe for Luxury App Marketplace). I had a very strong feeling that this domain would be awesome for an app & software marketplace, and I purchased the domain almost right away without thinking about it. Appluxe.com started indexing immediately, which is very impressive for a brand-new domain. Before AppLuxe, I have setup many domains over the last 5 years, and none of them have showed any level of success until now, at this point, I strongly feel that Appluxe.com will become a very powerful app marketplace in the future, but right now, appluxe is currently a blog, and is showing positive signs of success early on which is very awesome.
Update: I recently broke my big toe tripping over myself. How in the hell does anyone do that? at first, I did not know that I had broken my toe, and I was in a lot of pain; my husband quickly rushed me to the hospital, and it was confirmed by ER, I had in fact fractured or broken my big toe, then they put a splint on my foot, and sent me on my way without any more worries. I have future appointments with a bone doctor, and he will tell me what my next steps will be; do I need surgery? Will my foot heal on its own? I do not know yet! I am currently on pain pills, and I am somewhat able to hobble around the house (mostly to the bathroom without issues) But I still work on the website, and direct our team members on what to do next in keeping Appluxe.com moving forward; hell or high water; I have come to far, and will not allow a broken foot to stop my app, Blog, and Marketplace from moving forward, as I have no choice! I/we need to keep moving AppLuxe forward, and that is because I really need another source of income in the future, as my disability check is considered, just over broke, along with a net-loss since I run out of money long before my next check arrives, and I/we need desperately need another income source, since my husband has a bad back and cannot work, and I ask out of love, please support AppLuxe℠ App Marketplace by making a purchase, as I/we would really appreciate your business now, and in the future.
Overall, I have a great life with my husband, David Sherwood, co-founder & support.

Footnote: after my ankle/foot heals, I will be trying to look for a $70,000 in the healthcare industry, but there is a hitch: I have already been out of work for quite some time, and finding a work-at-home job as upper management will be tough as hell, why? work at home jobs are super competitive, they are very hard to come by, even if you were a super good worker in the past and too be honest, I’m not sure that I will be hired, again, I have been out of this industry for many years; Even though I know my stuff; finding a work at home job maybe almost impossible at this point, however, I will keep my hopes up, and start applying for jobs immediately, and we will see where my job hunt will land in the future, keep moving forward, or you just may die of boredom laying up in bed all day, and I am sick and tired of my husband waiting on me day and night, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week; It’s just not fair!
my husband went to the store today, since my big toe is broken, I hobbled my way out to the car so I could go along for the ride, so my husband goes to buy a few groceries, then bad news, our debt card was declined by $3.00, and we are now out of money until the 15th of the month; Even though, we had to put a couple items back; We were still over by $3.00, and what does the clerk do? She told my husband to keep the bottle of diet coke, which was exactly $3.00. An ack of kindness by an unknown clerk that works for cash saver in texarkana, AR, our shoutout for today; What a true hero for a total stranger.
2024-2025 Chronic illness story coming soon, and you thought we were done? Not by a long shot, however, I am tired and will post my kidney & liver disease story very soon. Feel free to share my story with family, friends, and social media.
Chronic Kidney Disease: Filtering for Excellence Amid Adversity
Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is medically defined as the gradual loss of kidney function, where the “nephrons”—the microscopic filtering units—can no longer effectively remove waste and excess fluid from the blood. For LoyAnn Sherwood, the CEO of AppLuxe℠, this clinical process became a deeply personal battle of endurance between 2024 and 2025. While the body struggles with the buildup of toxins and the profound fatigue of anemia, the mind is forced to prioritize what truly matters. In the medical world, the kidneys are the ultimate editors of the body, deciding what is “trash” and what is “treasure.” This is the heart of the AppLuxe philosophy: a relentless commitment to filtering out the noise and only presenting the most high-value software tools for her audience.
Navigating kidney disease requires a meticulous balance of electrolytes, blood pressure management, and a grit that few understand until they have lived it. When LoyAnn says her “body functions are off the charts,” she is describing the intense metabolic stress that comes when the renal system is under siege. Yet, it is this very struggle that built the “Luxe” standard. When your energy is a limited resource, you realize that every digital tool you use must work perfectly. AppLuxe isn’t just a business; it is a platform born from a founder who had to fight for her health while refusing to let her vision for a global app marketplace dim. Her kidney story is a testament to the fact that even when the body’s filters are challenged, the soul’s vision remains pure and focused.
Liver Disease: The Power of Regeneration and Strategic Resilience
The liver is the body’s metabolic engine, responsible for over 500 vital functions, including protein synthesis, detoxification, and the storage of essential nutrients. Medically, it is the only organ with the incredible capacity to regenerate, but chronic illness can push this resilience to a breaking point. For LoyAnn Sherwood, the 2024–2025 chapter was defined by navigating these high-stakes liver challenges while simultaneously steering the growth of AppLuxe℠. This journey of “regeneration” isn’t just biological—it’s the core of LoyAnn’s business strategy. Just as a recovering liver must be protected from toxins, LoyAnn has built AppLuxe to protect users from “toxic,” low-quality software and spam, ensuring only the most robust tools make it to the marketplace.

Facing liver disease means dealing with systemic inflammation and the constant need for metabolic stability. It is a journey of transformation that mirrors the “Why” behind the blog: a relentless commitment to helping others find success through the right tools. When you support AppLuxe℠, you are supporting a founder who understands that “strength” isn’t just about being healthy—it’s about staying transparent and productive when the odds are stacked against you. LoyAnn’s upcoming liver disease story will reveal the transparency and “heart” behind the brand. She is the living proof that a startup can be built on a foundation of true resilience. We are far from done; we are simply in a state of powerful recovery, preparing to lead the tech world with a perspective that only a survivor can provide.
Health & Sustainability: A Note on Liver Wellness
At AppLuxe, we believe that peak performance in the digital world starts with a healthy physical foundation. While our CEO and Founder, LoyAnn Sherwood, is known for her disciplined lifestyle and moderated approach to alcohol, she is deeply committed to spreading awareness about the vital role of liver health. The liver is the body’s primary engine for detoxification, and understanding the risks associated with alcohol abuse is a cornerstone of a wellness-first mindset.
The Reality of Liver Cirrhosis
Liver cirrhosis is a progressive condition where healthy liver tissue is replaced by scar tissue, eventually preventing the organ from functioning correctly. One of the most common and preventable causes of this condition is chronic alcohol abuse. Over time, excessive alcohol consumption causes inflammation and cell death. As the liver attempts to repair itself, fibrosis (scarring) occurs. If this cycle continues, the liver loses its ability to filter toxins, regulate blood clotting, and process essential nutrients.
Why Moderation Matters
Even for those who do not drink heavily, like our founder, understanding the spectrum of alcohol-related liver disease (ARLD) is vital. Cirrhosis doesn’t happen overnight; it is often the result of years of silent damage. By prioritizing “Luxe” living—which includes clean eating, hydration, and mindful consumption—individuals can protect their metabolic health. At AppLuxe, we advocate for the same precision in personal health that we apply to our software marketplace: seeking the best “tools” for longevity and avoiding anything that compromises the integrity of the system.
A Commitment to Community
We include these health insights because AppLuxe is more than a marketplace; it is a platform for holistic excellence. Whether we are discussing SaaS monetization or physical well-being, our goal remains the same: to empower our community with the knowledge needed to thrive in every aspect of life.
The Silent Struggle: LoyAnn Sherwood’s Journey with Thyroid Disease
At AppLuxe℠, we believe that transparency is the cornerstone of any “Rockstar” platform. While our mission is to simplify the digital marketplace, the heart of our company is driven by the personal resilience of our CEO and Founder, LoyAnn Sherwood. To understand the grit and dedication behind AppLuxe℠, one must understand the health challenges LoyAnn has navigated behind the scenes—specifically her ongoing battle with thyroid disease.

The thyroid is a small, butterfly-shaped gland located at the base of the neck, but its impact on the human body is massive. It acts as the body’s internal thermostat and engine, producing hormones that regulate metabolism, energy levels, and even heart rate. When this system malfunctions—as it has in LoyAnn’s journey—it doesn’t just affect physical health; it tests one’s mental and emotional fortitude.
For LoyAnn, managing thyroid disease has meant navigating a world of fluctuating energy, “brain fog,” and the physical toll that comes when your internal systems are out of sync. In the high-stakes world of digital marketing and app development, where “clear thinking” is your greatest asset, thyroid disease can feel like an anchor trying to hold you back. However, instead of allowing these symptoms to define her, LoyAnn has used this experience to fuel her “slow and steady” approach to building a sustainable business.
This personal health struggle is why AppLuxe℠ operates differently. LoyAnn’s experience with chronic illness has instilled a deep value for quality over quantity and automation over manual stress. When you see the “Rockstar” face of our blog, you aren’t just seeing a CEO; you are seeing a survivor who understands that health and business are deeply intertwined.
By sharing her journey with thyroid disease alongside her other health challenges, LoyAnn aims to humanize the tech space. She knows that many of our readers and partners are also fighting silent battles. At AppLuxe℠, we aren’t just ranking keywords; we are building a community rooted in real-life experience, persistence, and the belief that even when your health tries to slow you down, you can still reach a touchdown in your professional life.
Here is the content for the three conditions, each over 300 words, tailored for AppLuxe.com.
2. Navigating the Desert: LoyAnn Sherwood’s Battle with Sjogren’s Syndrome
At the core of AppLuxe℠ is a commitment to resilience, a trait personified by our Founder, LoyAnn Sherwood, in her daily life with Sjogren’s Syndrome. Often misunderstood or dismissed as “just dry eyes,” Sjogren’s is actually a systemic autoimmune disease where the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks its own moisture-producing glands. For LoyAnn, this means navigating a world that often feels like a literal desert—dealing with chronic dryness of the eyes and mouth, but also the much deeper, invisible symptoms like profound fatigue and joint pain.

In the digital world of app marketplaces and 5,000-word “Gold Mine” articles, focus is everything. However, Sjogren’s brings with it a unique set of hurdles. The persistent inflammation can lead to “brain fog” that makes even simple tasks feel like climbing a mountain. For a Rockstar in the healthcare and digital marketing fields, this disease tests your patience and your “slow and steady” resolve every single day.
LoyAnn’s journey with Sjogren’s has shaped the very DNA of AppLuxe℠. It is the reason we prioritize automation via Stripe and PayPal and why we refuse to settle for low-quality manual work. When your physical energy is a limited resource, you learn to build systems that work for you, not against you. Sharing this struggle is LoyAnn’s way of showing that even when your body feels like it’s drying up, your vision for a “Rockstar” blogging platform can still flourish. At AppLuxe℠, we don’t just see a CEO; we see a leader who has turned her personal “desert” into a flourishing digital oasis through sheer persistence.
3. The Invisible Fire: Understanding Neuropathy in the Digital Age

Building a high-end platform like AppLuxe℠ requires steady hands and a clear mind, but for LoyAnn Sherwood, the challenge is often physical. LoyAnn lives with Neuropathy, a complex condition resulting from damage to the peripheral nerves. This often manifests as an “invisible fire”—sensations of tingling, burning, or even stabbing pain that can strike at any moment. In the tech industry, where we are constantly connected to our devices, the physical toll of Neuropathy is a constant reminder of the bridge between the digital and the real world.
For LoyAnn, Neuropathy isn’t just about physical discomfort; it’s about the mental grit required to push through when your nerves are sending “error signals” to your brain. This experience has deeply influenced her leadership at AppLuxe℠. It has taught her the importance of sustainability. You cannot “touchdown” in business if you burn out your engine. This is why our Guest Post policies are so strict—we value high-quality, meaningful work because we know that time and energy are precious.
By being open about her Neuropathy, LoyAnn aims to break the stigma of chronic pain in the workplace. She wants our readers to know that AppLuxe℠ is a site built by someone who understands what it means to grind through the pain. Her Neuropathy has become a catalyst for creating a more efficient, “hands-off” business model that allows her to be a Rockstar CEO while managing a difficult condition. It’s about forcing the world—and Google—to recognize that quality isn’t defined by physical perfection, but by the strength of the content and the character behind it.
4. The Constant Balancing Act: Living with Polyneuropathy
While Neuropathy is a challenge on its own, LoyAnn Sherwood also navigates the complexities of Polyneuropathy—a condition where multiple peripheral nerves across the body are affected simultaneously. This “balancing act” is both literal and figurative. Polyneuropathy can affect everything from coordination and balance to muscle strength, making the simple act of sitting at a desk to review “App Marketplace” trends a feat of endurance.
At AppLuxe℠, we often talk about “breaking the ice” and finding the “Gold Mine.” For LoyAnn, Polyneuropathy is the ice she breaks every morning. It requires a level of self-discipline that most people never have to develop. When your nerves are constantly misfiring, you have to become a master of your own environment. This mastery is reflected in the clean, circular design of our site and the structured, milestone-based approach we take to our projects.
LoyAnn’s Polyneuropathy has instilled a deep sense of empathy in our corporate culture. We don’t just want to rank keywords; we want to provide “2+2=4” logic that helps people. We know that many of our clients are also balancing health, family, and business. Polyneuropathy has taught LoyAnn that while you might move “slower than most,” the important thing is that you never stop moving. This disease is part of the story of AppLuxe℠—a story of a founder who refuses to let a malfunctioning nervous system stop her from building a world-class blogging platform.

“LoyAnn Sherwood is the heart and vision behind AppLuxe℠. With a career rooted in high-level business strategy, she now brings her expertise to the startup world while navigating a courageous personal battle with chronic illness. Her story is one of resilience, transformation, and a relentless commitment to helping others find the right tools for success. When you support AppLuxe℠, you aren’t just choosing software; you’re supporting a journey of strength and transparency.”
My story is true & correct to the best of my knowledge; Even though I am 56 years old, my body is worn out, and my memory is far from perfect, since my car accident, life has been a struggle; however, I have no plans to give up anytime soon.

more financial bad news everyone. my mower just called me to remind me that he will start mowing next week, and I am like oh shit, I have completely forgot about the mower since last season, and this is another $240 per month that I do not have. I did tell him that I am now on disability, and what did he say? Since you are on disability, I will now need you to pay me month-month upfront 15th to 15th, and I did ask him why, and he said that he mostly knew that I would run out of money before he mowed again in another 2-weeks and requested to be paid upfront for the entire month. The grass is not even up yet, and he already wants to start mowing a yard that will not even have any grass in the next 7 days, no compassion from him what-so-ever since he is only protecting himself by wanting his money from month to month, upfront, now, I am negative $-500 in the hole, every single month now.
Disclaimer: The 2 photos of me that you see located on the header, and content footer was taken approx. 2 years before I came down with kidney and live disease. I do not look like this today, and would never post a photo of myself on the internet and that is because no-one really would want to see a sickly photo of me right now, or ever for that matter.
